Law Enforcement Guidelines

How authorities can obtain information about a Meetarabic account.

1. Purpose

This page explains how judicial authorities and law enforcement agencies can request information about Meetarabic accounts. Meetarabic is published by THIRD LEVEL (France). This page is not intended for members: to report a profile or content, use the "Report" option in the app or the Contact page.

2. Legal basis

We only disclose data upon presentation of a valid legal instrument:

  • a requisition or request from a French judicial authority or investigative service, in accordance with French law;
  • a court decision;
  • for foreign authorities: a request sent through international mutual legal assistance channels or, within the European Union, through the applicable European instruments.

3. Submitting a request

Requests must be sent from an official address to report@meetarabic.com and specify:

  • the requesting authority and unit, and the name and contact details of the officer;
  • the legal basis and the case reference;
  • the account concerned (username, email address or profile link);
  • the information requested and the period concerned.

4. Data that may be disclosed

Depending on the request, and within the limits of the data we hold and of its retention period (see our privacy policy), we may disclose:

  • registration information (email address, username, registration date);
  • profile content (description, photos);
  • login history (dates and, where available, IP addresses);
  • messages exchanged on the service.

5. Emergencies

In case of imminent danger of death or serious injury, write "URGENT" in the subject line and describe the situation. The request is handled as a priority, within the framework provided by law.

6. Data preservation

At the request of an authority, we can preserve an account's data for the time needed to obtain the corresponding legal instrument.

7. Member notification

We notify the member concerned of a request about them, unless the law prohibits it, the authority asks us not to, or the notification would put someone in danger.

8. Child protection

Any content related to the exploitation of minors is removed, the account concerned is permanently deleted and the facts are reported to the competent authorities. Our commitments are set out on our Child safety page.
