❤️ Does Love Have a Place Before Marriage?

In Muslim culture, love is not forbidden. But it must be framed within an ethical, sincere, and respectful context. The question is not whether one should love or not, but how to love in a permissible way.

Allah ﷻ says in the Quran: "And among His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may find tranquility in them, and He placed between you affection and mercy." — (Surah Ar-Rum, 30:21)

Love in Islam is noble when it is pure, modest, and oriented toward marriage. It is not about unbridled passions, but about a sincere, respectful attachment in accordance with faith.

The Prophet ﷺ said: "There is nothing better for two people who love each other than marriage." — (Ibn Majah)

Love alone is not enough to build a marriage. It must be accompanied by reason, compatibility, and shared goals. You must ask yourself the right questions:

• Are we on the same page spiritually?
• Are our visions of married life compatible?
• Can we grow together with kindness and faith?

True love is the kind that brings you closer to your Creator. If this person encourages you to pray, to improve yourself, to remain modest, to reflect on your actions — then this love is a blessing.
